We took the boys to the march against the war in nyc today. It rained a lot - 1000s of New Yorkers soaked for peace - but they both were in very good spirits! August had his fist in the air chanting "No justice, No Peace" and he loved the chant that inolved a caller saying things such as "they say more war" or "they say more funding" and the response was "we say fuck that." This was a chat from the Food Not Bombs young crowd that we marched near for awhile.
Another fun day of homeschool and hangin' with the little brother. We went out for organic French food this morning at a favorite local place, walked home through Pratt and met up with my SIL for a brief moment. August had choir practice today so we headed into the West Village for that. He snag beautifully and then we played at the park with Melissa and E - always a good time. Soccer in the morning, so we are excited about that. I am so the soccer mom :)
Some cool new shots to add to the collection:
I have an amazingly fat, beautiful 4 month old now! Hard to believe it. I just posted a new picture of him.
Finally posting some pictures!
My husband is 32 today. I like it when he has his birthday because (aside for the fun of getting him gifts and making cake and celebrating how amazing he is) I get to rub it in that he is older :) Mature, I know. So, I am still in my 20's and he gets to call himself the old man for a few months before I turn 30.
My dissertation has been submitted and copied and it is all done! They said I still have to wait 24 hours to make sure there was no issue with formatting or technical concerns on the electronic submission, so fingers crossed on that :) Shawn takes it all up to the U on Friday because I can not lift the box that has the 2500+ pages of copies in it for the binder.
I added a new picture of me in all my third trimester roundness :)
